The scroll up/down to start/stop recording conflicted with normal page scrolling. Middle-click (pressing the mouse wheel button) is a clean toggle that doesn't interfere with browsing.

Changed across all surfaces:

  • MicToggle component (used on live page)
  • inject.js bookmarklet widget
  • Chrome extension content script
  • Install page instructions

Middle-click anywhere on the page toggles recording on/off. Also prevents default browser auto-scroll behavior on middle-click.
